Traffic reporter and member of the Scott Shannon in the Morning radio show on CBS-FM, Joe Nolan, suffered a heart attack at his home yesterday in Westfield, New Jersey. Nolan was working in his yard when he began to feel pain in both shoulders and back. His girlfriend called 911, an ambulance arrived around 9AM, brought Nolan to Overlook Hospital, and promptly went into surgery.
“It was 100% blocked… that artery was totally closed off,” Nolan said during a call in to the Scott Shannon Morning Show.
“We left the house at like 9AM… the surgery was over at 10:30,” added Nolan, commending the 911 responders and medical staff.
More tests and evaluations will be conducted and there is no timetable set for Nolan’s release from the hospital or return to CBS-FM.
